Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 1, 2026

The Money Mentor Mom ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, use our services, or interact with our content.

We are based in Canada, and this Policy is intended to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's federal private-sector privacy law. If you are located in Quebec, additional protections under Quebec's Law 25 may also apply to you.

By using our website or services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

The Money Mentor Mom is an online financial coaching and education business for parents in Canada. We offer:

  • 1:1 and group financial coaching

  • Digital templates and tools

  • Educational content, including blog posts and free resources

Our goal is to help parents build confidence with money and make informed financial decisions.

2. Personal Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Name and contact details (email address, phone number, city/province)

  • Information you share when you book a call, fill out a form, download a free template, or contact us

  • Information related to your goals and situation that you choose to share during coaching inquiries (for example, general details about your income, debts, or financial habits)

  • Payment-related information (processed through third-party providers; we do not store full credit card numbers)

Information collected automatically through our website

Our website is built and hosted on Wix. When you visit, Wix's built-in tools — and any third-party apps we've connected — may automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate location (city/region), inferred from your IP

  • Device type, browser type, and operating system

  • Pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, and referring/exit URLs

  • Session and security identifiers placed by Wix.

This information is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies. Some of it is collected by Wix.com Ltd. as our website platform and hosting provider, which processes certain data independently as a data controller under its own privacy policy (available at wix.com/about/privacy) — this is separate from, and in addition to, our own use of your information described here.

If you create an account or book a call

If our site includes a Members Area, member login and profile information is stored through Wix's site membership system. If you book a call through a scheduling tool connected to our site, your name, email, and appointment details are collected and processed by that scheduling provider.

Payments

Purchases made through our site are processed by Wix Payments or a connected third-party processor (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). These providers handle your payment details under their own privacy policies; we do not receive or store full card numbers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide and improve our coaching services, templates, and resources

  • Respond to your questions, messages, and booking requests

  • Send you emails about new content, resources, offers, and updates (if you subscribe)

  • Deliver free templates and other downloads you request

  • Process payments for paid services and products

  • Understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it

  • Maintain the security and integrity of our website and systems

  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements

We only collect and use personal information that is reasonable and necessary for these purposes, consistent with PIPEDA's limiting collection and limiting use principles.

4. Our Basis for Collecting Your Information (Consent)

PIPEDA requires that we obtain your knowledge and meaningful consent before collecting, using, or disclosing your personal information, except where the law permits otherwise. We rely on:

  • Express consent — for example, when you complete a coaching intake form and share financial details, purchase a paid service, or actively subscribe to receive marketing emails. We ask clearly and directly in these cases.

  • Implied consent — for example, general website analytics, where the purpose would be obvious to a reasonable person simply browsing our site.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us (Section 13). Note that withdrawing consent for certain uses (e.g., financial details shared for coaching) may limit our ability to provide that service to you.

5. Email Marketing and Communications

If you subscribe to our email list, download a free resource, or become a client, we may send you:

  • Educational content and tips

  • Updates about new templates, services, or programs

  • Special offers or promotions

  • Administrative messages (such as confirmations or policy updates)

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in our emails or by contacting us directly. We may still send you non-marketing emails related to services you've purchased or requested.

6. Cookies and Analytics

Our Wix-hosted website uses cookies and similar technologies, including:

  • Essential/functional cookies — required for the site to work properly (e.g., remembering your session, supporting login and cart features)

  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use our site (we may use Wix Analytics and/or Google Analytics for this)

  • Marketing cookies — if we run ad campaigns (e.g., Facebook/Meta or Google Ads pixels), these may track browsing behavior to measure ad performance

You may review WIX’s full privacy policy here: https://www.wix.com/about/privacy

7. Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, including Wix (hosting, forms, bookings, payments, member accounts), email marketing platforms, and analytics providers — only to the extent needed to perform their services for us, and not for their own independent marketing purposes

  • Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law, for a legal proceeding, or to protect our legal rights

  • A buyer or potential buyer of this business, in the event of a sale or transfer

8. How We Store and Protect Your Information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including:

  • Using Wix's hosting infrastructure and other reputable service providers

  • Limiting access to personal information to those who need it for business purposes

  • Using passwords and other safeguards

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults — specifically, parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

  • Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information

  • Withdraw your consent to certain uses of your information (see Section 4)

  • Request that we delete certain personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions

  • Challenge our compliance with this Policy

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time or adjust your browser's cookie settings.

11. International Data Transfers

Wix operates global infrastructure, so our website and some third-party service providers we use may store or process your personal information outside of Canada (including in the United States or elsewhere). When this happens, your information may become subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, which may differ from Canadian privacy law. We aim to work with service providers that maintain appropriate safeguards.

12. How to Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, how we handle your personal information, or general inquiries, contact us at:

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
